You’ll align outputs with corporate identity and Queensland Government digital and sponsorship policies, and work with senior leaders so communications support strategic priorities. You bring a process mindset, production expertise in at least one channel, and strong project, negotiation and coordination skills.

The Role
Reporting to the Director, Media and Communication, you will lead the creation of high‑quality, fit‑for‑purpose and accessible communication products. You will coordinate the department's digital, visual and event functions, ensuring all outputs align with departmental identity, whole‑of‑government corporate identity, digital services policy, sponsorship policy and other relevant standards. You will work closely with senior leaders so communication products complement and support departmental strategy.

Key Accountabilities:
• Lead a team, with a focus on digital experience and design, to deliver high‑quality communication products that support departmental objectives.
• Coordinate and assure delivery of digital, visual and event communication products aligned with departmental and whole‑of‑government standards and policies.
• Demonstrate high‑level project management to define priorities, coordinate activities and deliver outcomes to a high standard within required timeframes.
• Provide leadership, direction and support to build team capability and deliver organisational outcomes.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve systems and processes that support communication delivery.
• Provide expert recommendations on communication, digital, design and event projects.
• Build a responsive, outcome‑focused team that acts on client feedback and evolving needs.
• Other duties as required.

About You:
You have a keen interest in process development and implementation, experience in at least one area of communication production, and strong skills in project management, negotiation and coordination. You bring high‑level writing and interpersonal skills, experience using tools such as Jira or similar web management systems, strong proofreading capability, and the ability to monitor and report on web analytics.

There are no mandatory requirements; however, tertiary qualifications in web management, creative services, event management or related communication fields are highly regarded. Some travel, including outside standard office hours, may be required.
