The State Penalties Enforcement Registry (SPER), a division of Queensland Revenue Office (QRO), is seeking applications from people interested in a challenging and fulfilling AO5 Senior Enforcement Officer position.

A SPER enforcement career offers job-specific training and travel across Queensland supporting a state-wide enforcement program. You'll play a key role informing the community about the obligations of offenders, and the consequences of non-compliance.

Your typical day as an AO5 Senior Enforcement Officer may include:
• Reviewing and investigating case management activities for field enforcement.
• Issuing required documentation to debtors.
• Undertaking field activities by using sound judgement ensuring appropriate compliance outcomes.
• Supporting enforcement campaigns across Queensland.
• Operating Automatic Number Plate Recognition activities.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
• Resilience and ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
• High level of interpersonal and influential communication skills within a client-focussed and legislative environment.
• Ability to analyse, interpret and apply legislation and/or policy.
• Good working knowledge of digital and data technology/systems.
• Ability to use information to improve work practices that support a high performing team.

You will also be able to lift and operate a wheel clamp, similar to a Scorpion Wheel Clamp (Model Scor1), weighing approximately 13 kilograms, and kneel whilst attaching a clamp to different forms of transportation (e.g. cars, motorbikes, boat trailers). You must possess a current C class driver licence, and travel intrastate for up to approximately 1 week at a time, and work a roster across some weekends and outside standard working hours as required.
