ICT Portfolio Lead Advisor

The ICT Portfolio Lead Advisor will have an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high quality governance, analysis, reporting, coaching, assurance and project/program/portfolio management services across the Department of Justice (DoJ).
The role will develop capability as well as build strong working relationships with customers and stakeholders across the Department.
The role will be responsible for embedding the DoJ project delivery framework and facilitating benefits management within the ICT Portfolio, ensuring proposed and current ICT investments across the federation are defined, evaluated, prioritised and aligned to the ICT Strategy.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the delivery of DoJ ICT Portfolio.
- Provide timely advice and communication to key stakeholders regarding portfolio status and implementation issues.
- Work with stakeholders to embed standard project, program and benefit management methodologies, standards, tools, practices and processes across the DoJ ICT Portfolio.
- Analyse information and data to assist in ICT portfolio reporting.
- Provide coaching and specialist support to program and project managers, team members and board members involved in delivering the DoJ ICT Portfolio.
- Provide specialist input into project assurance reviews and health checks, and lead reviews where required.
- Facilitate the benefits identification process for ICT initiatives.
- Maintain collaborative networks across the DoJ business units and other stakeholders.
- Perform other essential duties and tasks specific to the position as required.

Technical skills, abilities and cultural capability:
- Working knowledge of project, program, risk and/or issue management as applied to ICT initiatives.
- Experience writing and presenting timely advice and communication to key stakeholders regarding portfolio status, including the preparation of a formal briefing papers, reports, submissions, templates and responses to consultation requests.
- Demonstrated ability to embed standard project, program and benefit management methodologies, standards, tools, practices and processes into practice and to coach and support business areas through project initiation and delivery processes, benefit management processes and required governance approvals.
- Working knowledge of the benefits identification process for ICT initiatives and the ability assist tracking benefits realisation.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and collate information and data to identify, prioritise, monitor and evaluate the DoJ ICT portfolio and to plan and track portfolio activities and dependencies.
- The ability to work with stakeholders to undertake health checks and assurance reviews, including contributing writing review reports and recommending key actions.
- Demonstrated ability to provide coaching and specialist support to program and project managers, team members and board members involved in delivering ICT initiatives.
- Working knowledge of project, program, risk and/or issue management as applied to ICT initiatives.
- Experience writing and presenting timely advice and communication to key stakeholders regarding portfolio status, including the preparation of a formal briefing papers, reports, submissions, templates and responses to consultation requests.
- Demonstrated ability to embed standard project, program and benefit management methodologies, standards, tools, practices and processes into practice and to coach and support business areas through project initiation and delivery processes, benefit management processes and required governance approvals.
