 About the role

You will provide essential administrative and legal support to lawyers, playing a hands-on role at every stage of the legal process. From managing case files, drafting correspondence, and preparing court documents to compiling briefs for counsel and assisting with grant applications, your organisational skills and attention to detail will ensure smooth case progression. You'll act as a key point of contact for clients, offering legal information and referral advice, managing appointments, and coordinating meetings and logistics. Whether assisting lawyers with case preparation, organising materials for court, or facilitating client and counsel communications, you'll be central to our team's success. Additionally, you'll handle day-to-day administrative functions, helping ensure our operations run seamlessly.

About you

You have legal administrative experience, work independently, and are proficient in using IT systems like Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn new programs. You understand trauma-informed practice principles, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including clients with complex needs, and consistently deliver professional, calm, and courteous service in challenging situations.

You will build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to support the delivery of high-quality services. You are committed to continuous improvement, take pride in your work and seek opportunities to enhance your skills and performance. Responsive to guidance and feedback, you proactively develop your capabilities to meet the evolving needs of the organisation. With resilience and flexibility, you embrace change and adapt to shifting priorities, contributing to a dynamic and efficient work environment.
