The Strategic Policy Group provides strategic advice, including the development of submissions to Government, to address current and emerging issues relevant to corrective services. Issues relating to the management of offenders are analysed to deliver policies that meet community needs and expectations. Through the exchange of information with other relevant agencies, including international and interstate agencies, the Group optimises policy development and implementation. Additionally, the Group proactively identifies the required future strategic organisational capabilities to ensure QCS is positioned to deliver on its long term goals.
