As a Spatial Information Officer within the Spatial Information team, you will play a key role in maintaining and delivering spatial imagery and elevation datasets that support statewide programs. Working across satellite, aerial, drone and LiDAR data, you'll help ensure stakeholders have access to accurate and authoritative spatial information. You will contribute to innovative data management workflows and support the delivery of reliable web services that underpin the Spatial Imagery Services Program, QSat Program and coordinated LiDAR initiatives.
In this role, you assist with the development and documentation of spatial web services; support cloud-based data management processes; collaborate with government, industry and research partners; provide clear, practical technical advice; and maintain current knowledge of GIS, remote sensing and emerging technologies. You will work both independently and within a small team to meet project objectives and deliver high quality spatial information.
Success in this role means applying spatial information skills to deliver high quality datasets and services, solving problems using sound analysis, contributing positively to team outcomes and demonstrating a willingness to learn and apply new tools and technologies.
