You will lead a high‑volume, high‑impact team delivering quality, defensible reviews within strict legislative timeframes. This role suits a strategic, organised leader who thrives in complex and fast‑paced environments; someone who can bring clarity and structure through thoughtful planning of team development, targeted training, improved systems and procedures and long‑term resourcing. You'll oversee case allocation using a risk‑based approach, actively question advice, legislation and processes to lift decision quality and support staff to confidently make, approve and review administrative decisions. You will actively support and promote staff wellbeing and capability, balancing workloads and prioritising effectively, while shaping a resilient, skilled team that delivers consistent, fair and timely outcomes.
Please refer to the Position Description for the Key Outcomes and Accountabilities and Candidate Attributes for this role.

A capable people leader, you can upskill and support staff, manage complex workloads and prioritise effectively in a deadline‑driven setting. You will also demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to manage escalations involving complex or difficult customer complaints while maintaining focus on quality outcomes and organisational risk.
Government experience or a legal background will be highly regarded.
