In the role of Principal Engineer (Design), you will manage the engineering input into the development and delivery of the design components of road infrastructure projects. You will provide specialist technical and professional expertise to delegated project activities through effective technical leadership an provide provision of technical advice and services to project managers on design, construction, and maintenance projects.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Review design components and provide Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) certification as required.
• Manage development of the project plan and design budget in the project development phase and monitor the provision of design services against the budget, where delegated.
• Maintain knowledge of, and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines, and legislative requirements necessary to support responsible decisions and courses of action for the design and construction of road infrastructure projects. Provide detailed engineering input and advice to ensure designs are practical, constructible, economical and can be safely constructed and maintained.
• Manage delegated projects by accepting responsibility for planning, assigning, directing, supervising, and coordinating work activities across the design team, encourage teamwork and foster a positive attitude toward the achievement of organisational objectives.
