As an Administration Officer with the Department of Primary Industries (DPI), you will provide essential support to Program Directors, ensuring the smooth operation of their business units and contributing to the department's mission of protecting Queensland's biosecurity.
In this role, you will manage and coordinate correspondence, ensuring all departmental and ministerial documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with organisational standards. You will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency by providing high-level administrative support, including email monitoring and document preparation, while fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture. Your strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion will ensure the delivery of high-quality administrative services that align with the department's goals and values.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing correspondence and deadlines: Coordinate and manage the flow of correspondence within the Program Directors' business units, ensuring all departmental and ministerial documentation, reporting, and requests are completed accurately and on time.
Providing high-level administrative support: Monitor emails, prepare and maintain accurate documentation using appropriate software programs, and adhere to departmental standards, including style guides, templates, and corporate policies.
Fostering a positive workplace culture: Utilise strong interpersonal communication skills to support a collaborative and inclusive environment, ensuring effective and timely delivery of administrative services while upholding ethical behaviour and workplace health and safety practices.
In addition to these responsibilities, you may be required to undertake other duties as requested by the Program Directors to meet the operational needs of the organisation.
