Managing media, external communications, social media and marketing on behalf of the QPS, you will have a front row seat in creating effective and engaging content for our large audiences.
From managing media strategies for high level police investigations through to grass-roots community safety campaigns, your experience and skills will make a real difference to communities across Queensland.

Your Key Accountabilities:
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Provide accurate and timely advice, prepare, and implement internal and external communication and engagement strategies and produce innovative and creative communication and engagement solutions.
- Prepare and review complex reports, briefing notes, submissions, departmental and other correspondence relating to communication strategies.
- Build and maintain effective communication networks with internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Provide specialist advice to members of the QPS on media, social media, public affairs, marketing and corporate ID issues.
- Identify proactive media, marketing and promotional opportunities for the QPS.
- Assist with program launches, displays, events and presentations, including workshops as required.
- Represent the Media and Public Affairs Group and the QPS at meetings with clients and stakeholders of the QPS.

Qualification:
- Nil mandatory - however, qualifications and/or experience in journalism and or/public affairs in a large geographically dispersed organisation will be considered favourably.
