The Advisor (Corridor Management) provides specialised technical expertise and support in the planning and delivery of Corridor Management activities across the Darling Downs District. The role is responsible for offering high-level advice, coordination, guidance, training and mentoring and contributes to the effective development and delivery of QTRIP programs and projects by ensuring corridor management requirements are appropriately considered and implemented.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide advice on the application of the Transport Infrastructure Act and other relevant legislation and practice in relation to TMR's Corridor Management responsibilities, including provision of services and products to QTRIP program and project managers and external stakeholders. Services and products include management of activities such as ancillary works and encroachments, public utility plant, traffic control management, amenity, natural resource management, fire threat management, third party access, tourism and community signs, and vacant land management.
  • Provide advice on Corridor Management issues, with consistency, in close liaison with advisors and key stakeholders and monitor and respond strategically to new and emerging Corridor Management issues.
  • Support the development, management, implementation and administration of efficient Corridor Management processes, practices, and guidelines.
  • Ensure Corridor Management priorities and issues are considered in the lifecycle of road planning, design, and delivery, including QTRIP infrastructure projects and identify and harness the necessary internal and external expertise for efficient delivery of Corridor Management services and products, including the selection, engagement and procurement of consultants and associated specialist advisors.
  • Contribute to public engagement activities which promote effective and relevant liaison with community, local governments, and other major stakeholders about TMR's Corridor Management.
  • Assess and provide draft departmental responses to corridor management and other matters in a timely manner and within legislative guidelines.
  • Provide support for Project Planning, Development Facilitation and Performance & Operations teams with road related and stakeholder issues.
