About the role:

- These great opportunities are available at our Brisbane Correctional Centre, Wacol and our Borallon Training and Correctional Centre, North Ipswich.
- Recently QCS expanded their psychological workforce to include social workers and occupational therapists, as Mental Health Clinicians.
- Operating within a multidisciplinary team, you will complete risk screening and assessments, brief interventions and behavioural management support to assist in improving the wellbeing of adults in our care. You will broaden your skills and experience with a variety of work that helps ensure the smooth and efficient provision of these crucial services in these Centres.
- An in-depth onboarding and training program will set you up to manage the clinical delivery requirements of the roles.

About you:
- Sound clinical capability, with the ability to deliver quality mental health services in a challenging, high-demand environment
- Be adaptable and have a thoughtful approach to clinical practice and service delivery
- Use your interpersonal and communication skills to build effective and trusted relationships across teams and stakeholders
- Professional integrity with a solid understanding of ethical and legal responsibilities in applying policies and procedures in the provision of mental health services
- Cultural capability and inclusive practice, with a commitment to delivering services responsive to the mental health needs of diverse populations.
- Well-developed written communication skills with the ability to provide high quality professional reports and case notes
Mandatory Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology and membership with APHRA; and/or
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy or Social Work with eligibility for membership or registration with AHPRA and/or AASW;
- C Class Driver's Licence; and
- Post-graduate experience in mental health would be highly regarded.
Applications to remain current for 12 months. Suitable applicants from this process may also be considered for a suitability pool for subsequent identical or similar vacancies that occur within 12 months of the closing date of this advertisement which may include vacancies within other centres.
