As Manager (Publication and Governance), you will lead the development, publication and ongoing governance of the Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP). Working closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, you’ll ensure the timely delivery of a high‑quality, customer focused program, while providing expert advice to senior leaders. This role plays a critical part in strengthening governance frameworks, driving continuous improvement, and delivering clear, accurate and strategic reporting that supports informed decision‑making and outcomes for Queensland communities.

An exciting temporary full-time opportunity exists for a Manager (Publication and Governance) on a temporary full-time basis up to 30 July 2027, with possibility of extension. As Manager (Publication and Governance) you will be required to lead and manage the development and publication of the Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP).
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and manage the annual development, publication and approval of the four year QTRIP in collaboration with a broad range of stakeholders, taking a customer focused approach.
- Lead and coordinate TMR governance requirements for QTRIP publication, overseeing annual reviews and ongoing updates to associated guidelines, policies and frameworks.
- Proactively lead business improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency of QTRIP governance policies, processes, procedures and systems.
- Provide high-level advice and expertise to colleagues and senior management reporting program highlights, and in the strategic management of QTRIP through the critical analysis of complex issues and development of recommendations, reports, policies, guidelines, submissions, briefs and correspondence.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions
- Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
Requirements of the role
- Experience leading a team to deliver a program or project, including critical analysis of complex issues, development of policies and guidelines, and providing expert advice to senior management.
- Experience in program management, including experience using program and project management systems.
- Experience in writing government submissions, briefing notes, correspondence, promotional materials and so on.
- Experience in leading business improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency of program governance and processes.
