The Temporary Senior Project Manager plays a critical leadership role in delivering high-value road infrastructure and maintenance programs across Mackay Operations. Responsible for governing multidisciplinary project teams, this position ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
The role oversees a diverse portfolio including the Gregory Developmental Road upgrade (valued at over $50M with recent variation), the Clermont–Alpha project and a significant pavement repair program extending into the 2026–2027 financial year.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the successful delivery of multiple civil infrastructure projects.
In this dynamic role, you will:
• Lead and support project teams by managing resources, suppliers, and materials to achieve safety, quality, time, and budget outcomes.
• Foster a high-performing project management culture, delivering comprehensive plans across scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, and stakeholder engagement.
• Manage complex, high-value programs across road construction, maintenance, rehabilitation, preconstruction, and related business and electrical projects.
• Ensure strong governance and compliance with legislation, standards, policies and procedures to deliver consistent, high-quality results.
• Build effective partnerships with internal specialists and external contractors, leading procurement to secure required expertise.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions:
• Criminal history screening will be conducted on the recommended person for the role.
• Applicants must possess a current, valid Queensland "C" class driver's licence or equivalent.
• TMR has a Drug and Alcohol Policy which applies to all Employees, Workers and Visitors to TMR workplaces. This may include random, post incident and reasonable suspicion testing during employment to ensure a safe and healthy workplace.
• A reasonable amount of travel consistent with industry standards will be required throughout the operational unit and/or the State. You will be entitled to allowances for such travel.
Desirable qualifications and conditions:
• A Diploma in Project Management.
• Previous studies or experience in an engineering field.
• Demonstrated supervisory or management experience in the civil industry.
