We embrace diversity, flexibility, learning and continuous improvement to deliver quality legal services. The work is challenging but rewarding - and that is why staff wellbeing and work/life balance are a top priority for us.

This is a targeted vacancy under section 105 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are strongly encouraged to apply and may be prioritised in this process. About the role
As an Emerging Lawyer in our Criminal Law Practice, you will provide exceptional legal services to clients in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and practice standards. You will conduct casework, such as taking instructions, researching and preparing legal documents, and representing clients in courts and tribunals. You'll liaise with Legal Aid Queensland stakeholders, government agencies, and community organisations to support clients, all while contributing to law reforms and innovative legal service delivery initiatives. Under expert supervision, you'll have the opportunity to grow your skills, gain valuable courtroom experience, and make a significant difference in the lives of those who rely on our services.
