As a Senior Project Officer within the Investment Infrastructure and Grants Branch, you will play a pivotal role in delivering tourism funding programs and contracts. Reporting to the Program Manager, Grants, you will work collaboratively to boost Queensland's tourism sector, provide tailored solutions, and contribute to long-term strategic initiatives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Program Delivery: Research, analyse, plan, and evaluate tourism funding projects to deliver key Government initiatives.
  • Contract Management: Manage funding agreements, claims, and performance to support program objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong networks with government agencies, businesses, and industry representatives to align outcomes.
  • Strategic Advice & Reporting: Prepare briefings, reports, and submissions for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Business Improvement: Recommend changes to enhance program delivery and align with DETSI's goals.
  • Team Culture: Contribute to an inclusive, safe, and respectful workplace, free from bullying and discrimination.

What we're looking for:

An enthusiastic and experienced individual with a passion for tourism and grant funding. Experience in supporting program management, coupled with knowledge of financial reporting and compliance processes, will see you succeed.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong project delivery and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Financial reporting and data analytics skills in grant-funded environments.
  • Understanding of government approval and briefing processes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
