The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service has an exciting opportunity available for you to become part of a collaborative team helping to conserve and maintain the network of national and conservation parks of North Brisbane. As rangers within the South East Queensland Region you will work with other Rangers, contractors and a range of partners and stakeholders in delivering positive outcomes for the environment and community.
The only mandatory requirement for the occupant of this position is to hold an unrestricted manual driver's license, however the ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in fire management, pest, compliance and asset management
- Demonstrated experience leading small teams
- Sound understanding of the legislation, policies and procedures governing Queensland parks and forests.
- Ability to undertake a varied work program, including physical activities
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft suite.
- Promote a workplace culture that supports and benefits First Nations people and stakeholders.
