Help protect the Great Barrier Reef by leading programs that support sustainable land management and strengthen partnerships across industry and government.

The Office of the Great Barrier Reef and World Heritage (OGBRWH) is seeking a Program Coordinator (Industry Partnerships) to lead the delivery of initiatives under the Queensland Reef Water Quality Program (QRWQP). This role focuses on improving agricultural and environmental outcomes through evidence-based approaches, stakeholder collaboration and effective program delivery.

Your contribution

In this role, you will lead the planning, delivery, evaluation and reporting of complex programs and projects aligned to Reef water quality outcomes. You will manage a small team, setting clear priorities, allocating resources, and ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard.

A key aspect of the role is building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including primary producers, industry bodies, research organisations and government partners. You will work collaboratively to ensure programs are aligned to stakeholder needs and deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.

You will also lead research, analysis and continuous improvement activities to refine programs, frameworks and processes. This includes strengthening monitoring, evaluation and reporting approaches to support adaptive management and demonstrate program impact.

In addition, you will oversee the preparation of high-quality communications, reports and briefing materials, ensuring information is clear, accurate and supports effective decision-making.

About you

You are a strong program leader with demonstrated experience managing complex projects and delivering outcomes in a dynamic environment. You bring proven ability to lead teams and manage competing priorities, alongside strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills. You have highly developed analytical, research and problem-solving capability, complemented by excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience in environmental, agricultural or natural resource management contexts will be highly regarded, along with the ability to apply evidence-based approaches and translate policy into practical outcomes. You will thrive in a collaborative environment and be motivated to deliver outcomes that support both industry and environmental sustainability.

Applications to remain current for 12 months.
