About the Role

This is a new role responsible for enhancing QLeave's risk maturity and assurance capability, supporting the effective management of current and emerging organisational risks.

In this role, you will partner with leaders across the organisation to provide specialist enterprise risk and assurance expertise, lead enterprise risk management and assurance activities, and drive a consistent approach to risk ownership, controls and assurance.

A key initial priority will be to simplify and mature QLeave's risk framework, strengthen first-line accountability for risk, and build a fit-for-purpose second-line assurance function.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the coordination, implementation and continuous improvement of enterprise risk management and assurance frameworks.
  • Drive the maturity of first-line risk ownership and second line assurance practices across the organisation.
  • Undertake risk-based reviews of processes, operational activities and key controls to assess design, effectiveness and alignment with agreed frameworks.
  • Provide expert advice to leaders to identify, assess, treat and monitor risks, and implement effective controls.
  • Prepare high quality board and committee papers on enterprise risk management, assurance outcomes, emerging risk themes and control effectiveness.

For a complete list of the role responsibilities, please refer to the role description.

What We're Looking For

QLeave appointments are based on selecting the eligible applicant best suited to the position.  We will assess your application based on your experience, potential for development, and your personal qualities.

For this role, we will consider how well you have:

  • Contributed to implementing or improving enterprise risk management, assurance or internal control frameworks, including supporting first line risk ownership and assurance activities.
  • Contributed to implementing a positive enterprise risk, assurance and performance reporting culture.
  • Developed high-quality reports, board papers or similar documentation including attention to detail.
  • Shaped and sustained positive relationships with employees and facilitated effective consultation with stakeholders.
  • A strong understanding of how systems, operations, processes, risks and controls interact to drive business outcomes.

Qualifications in business management and/or enterprise risk management, governance, assurance, audit or a related discipline will be favourably regarded.

How to Apply

If you're ready to make an impact and contribute to QLeave's success, we'd love to hear from you.

Your application must include:

  • A detailed resume outlining your qualifications, experience and achievements.
