Are you looking for a career change or a professional development opportunity? The Adviser, Health and Safety is a key member of the QCS Health, Safety and Wellbeing team. In this role you will assist the management team within a correctional centre to fulfil their legislative obligations relating to workplace health & safety and to promote the Department’s strategic goals associated with promoting services and workplace safety matters.

Furthermore, this role provides significant support and advice to centre management to promote and embed a safety culture across the centre and assist with the implementation and review of the centre’s health and safety framework.

The Adviser, Health and Safety is an integral role to ensuring a safe and compliant work environment by delivering practical WHS guidance and fostering a culture of safety in a challenging operational environment.

In this role you will assist the management team within the centre to fulfil their legislation obligations relating to workplace health and safety as well as promote the Department's strategic goals associated with promoting services and workplace safety matters.

The role is functionally accountable to the Senior Adviser Health & Safety but is located at Lockyer Valley and Southern Queensland Correctional Centres.
