The Workforce Planning Officer is responsible for the coordination and delivery of a range of administrative services that provide consistent and high-quality data input and administrative support to the workforce planning function within the region. The role also provides a high level of support to the Manager, Workforce Planning in the preparation of reports, liaison with key stakeholders and other workforce planning support services. The role assists with the supervision and development of Workforce Planning Unit staff, providing mentoring, guidance and training in the delivery of services.
The Workforce Planning Officer will actively contribute to the achievement of QAS business objectives and key performance indicators, to support the delivery of high-quality ambulance services to the Queensland community.
We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- High-level knowledge of contemporary workforce planning principles and practices and demonstrated capability in the proficient use of workforce planning systems and database management.
- Demonstrated well-developed communication, negotiation, consultation and collaboration skills and the proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Well-developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills including a demonstrated ability to interpret performance data and develop service improvement initiatives to drive continuous performance improvement.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team, including the ability to make a positive contribution and provide supportive mentoring and guidance to team members.
- Demonstrated commitment to implement practices which promote a fair and ethical workplace, employment equity, cultural diversity and occupational health and safety.
