As a Senior Housing Officer with Housing Outreach Mobile Engagement, you will work alongside people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, helping them access housing, support services and pathways to greater stability. Every day is different, and every interaction is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

This role sits at the frontline of housing and homelessness service delivery and plays an important part in supporting safer, fairer and more sustainable housing outcomes for Queenslanders. Through outreach, collaboration and practical problem-solving, you'll help ensure people receive the right support at the right time.

In this role, you will:

- Work directly with individuals and families experiencing homelessness or transitioning from supported accommodation, taking the time to understand their circumstances and housing needs.

- Deliver housing assistance services through outreach, field-based engagement, phone, written correspondence and face-to-face interactions.

- Assess and approve housing assistance applications, ensuring decisions are informed, timely and focused on customer outcomes.

- Build strong relationships with community organisations, service providers and other stakeholders to coordinate supports and improve outcomes.

- Help resolve complex issues and complaints in a respectful, solution-focused way.

- Support and guide team members, sharing knowledge, building capability and contributing to a positive team culture.

- Work safely and confidently in changing environments, including meeting people who may be sleeping rough or experiencing crisis situations.

Can you see yourself building trust with someone who needs support? Are you comfortable balancing empathy with sound judgement? Do you enjoy working autonomously while remaining connected to a collaborative team? If so, this role offers the opportunity to use your skills where they matter most. We're looking for someone who is customer-focused, adaptable and resilient, with strong communication skills and the ability to navigate complexity with professionalism and care. You'll value inclusion, respect diverse perspectives and build productive relationships that help achieve better outcomes for people and communities.

A Class C driver's licence is required, and travel, including overnight travel, forms part of this role. Join us and be part of a team that delivers practical support, builds stronger connections across services and helps people find a pathway to housing stability. The work you do will make a difference every day.

Applications to remain current for 12 months.
