As the Senior Program Advisor, you will assist the Planning and Program Team in the day-to-day operations and management of the Transport System Planning Program (TSPP) and other assigned programs, providing high-level program management, analytical and stakeholder engagement support to enable informed investment and program delivery decisions.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Support and coordinate program formulation activities, including annual program development, program variations and project nomination processes, facilitating progression through to approval.
• Analyse and interpret complex program, financial and performance information, monitor program performance, and provide advice and recommendations on expenditure, forecasting, risks, trends, investment priorities and informed decision-making.
• Support the management of Australian and Queensland Government funded programs and projects, including reporting, compliance obligations, and the preparation of high-quality reports, briefing materials and recommendations for senior management.

Requirements of the role

• High-level knowledge and experience in program, portfolio or project management within a complex government or infrastructure environment, including demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to critically assess complex information and provide evidence-based recommendations to support investment and program management decisions.
• Sound understanding of governance, risk management and investment management principles, and their application within a program or portfolio management environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes, build productive partnerships and work collaboratively across a diverse stakeholder environment.
