We are seeking an experienced Advisor (Workforce) to join the team at RoadTek. In this fast paced and varied role, you will report to the Principal Advisor (Workforce) and provide specialist HR/IR advice to RoadTek business unit managers to enhance business delivery capability through the effective use of workforce resources.

This is a temporary, full-time position commencing October 2026 through to end August 2027 with possible extension and can be performed from any of the following RoadTek office locations (Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Toowoomba, Warwick, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast or Brisbane CBD).

In the role of Advisor (Workforce) you will proactively deliver a range of activities and advice in the Complex Case and Industrial Relations team across the employment framework including policy advice (interpretation and application), complaints, complex case management and continuous improvement through the delivery of planned and adhoc Human Resource projects and initiatives.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions

  • Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.

Desirable requirements:

  • A background and qualification in Human Resources will be highly regarded.
  • Valid Queensland ‘C' class driver's licence or equivalent.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a team to prioritise tasks aligned with broader organisational objectives. Key requirements include experience in HR and Industrial Relations, strong stakeholder engagement capabilities, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and professionally. Proven success in managing competing priorities and deadlines, along with excellent interpersonal skills, will be essential to thrive in this role.
