The Senior Consultation & Land Outcomes Officer (AO6) plays a key role in supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander land outcomes within the Indigenous Land team of the Lands Division. Working across multiple projects, you will prepare, coordinate and implement the administrative, research and legislative processes that underpin land transfers and Indigenous Land Use Agreement outcomes under relevant legislation. Your work will contribute to positive and sustainable outcomes for First Nations communities while supporting sound government decision-making. In this role, you will lead complex land administration activities, coordinate tenure research, mapping and documentation, assess land suitability investigations, and manage consultation and statutory processes. You will exercise delegated authority, prepare high-quality reports, submissions and ministerial correspondence, provide advice on Indigenous land matters and legislation, and develop productive relationships with Indigenous and non-Indigenous stakeholders, communities and government agencies. You will also coordinate projects and guide team members to ensure quality, timely and culturally respectful outcomes.
