As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for efficiency and innovation analysis to enable delivery and operationalisation of the new Weapons Licensing Management System (WLMS) Withing Weapon Licensing Group (WLG), ensuring compliance with policy, legislation and procedures. You will provide high quality verbal and written advise to senior management and project personnel within WLG.

Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Co-ordinate, improve and support efficient and effective IT systems and business analysis for the business unit.
- Develop and support change management process for new and enhanced processes and IT systems including supporting other areas of the business unit in this process.
- Provide advice, guidance and high-level business analysis services to determine business requirements within legislative, contemporary IT and customer experience frameworks
- Adhere to Queensland Police Service Information Technology policies, procedures, standards and practices including legislation, security, documentation and version control management
- Provide advice to management on process improvement, IT and associated issues and initiatives, including innovation, contemporary solutions, risk identification and management.
- Analyse, document, develop, test, deliver, implement and review new and innovative solutions to meet the business requirements of stakeholders
- Engage with operations/QPS Business stakeholders to ensure that IT systems are providing effective and efficient platforms, processes and procedures to ensure achievement of business unit operational goals.
- Identify improvements and undertake gap analysis of current/future-state processes in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to identify shortcomings, bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
