Arts Queensland (AQ) part of Department of Education is looking for a fixed-term temporary full-time AO7 Manager – Partnerships and Investment (P&I) South team from 19 May 2025 for 8 months with possible extension. As Manager P&I, you will have a comprehensive understanding, experience, and strong commitment to leveraging the value of the arts in local communities.
This role will drive development priorities, broker productive partnerships, and strengthen the network and capabilities of artists and arts and cultural organisations across Queensland.
Arts Queensland (AQ) is leading the implementation of Creative Together 2020-2030: A 10-Year Roadmap for arts, culture and creativity in Queensland (Creative Together), a whole of government vision to see Queensland renewed and transformed - socially, culturally and economically - through arts, culture and creativity.

Key duties of this role include:
- Utilise comprehensive understanding & experience to leverage the value of the arts in local communities.
- Apply an innovative approach & commercial acumen to identify & pursue new opportunities and investments that will drive development priorities across the state.
- Identify, negotiate & implement new methods & approaches that strengthen QLD's culturally diverse network of artists & arts & cultural organisations.
- Manage & administer investment in funding programs & service delivery contracts, their evaluation, reporting & acquittal processes, to deliver on objectives including sustainable cultural, social & economic outcomes for QLD artists & communities.
- Conduct high-level research, analysis, & problem-solving to prepare clear, concise & evidence-based reports that inform future strategy, policy & business cases for sustainable arts development.
- Provide financial expertise & advice that contributes to the operations & activities of funded organisations, including support for reporting, financial & audit requirements, & compliance with QLD Government policy.
- Lead, develop, implement & inspire others to adopt contemporary, evidence-based approaches to evaluating the performance and impact of arts & culture initiatives & strategies.
- Broker & build productive & mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders across Government, community, the private sector & industry to contribute to sustainable partnerships.
- Support the Director in providing comprehensive advice to the Minister, Deputy Director-General & senior management.
- Prepare Ministerial correspondence, detailed reports, briefs & submissions for the Minister, Deputy Director-General, senior management & committees.
