Manager, Partnerships - Backing Indigenous Arts (Identified: Australian First Nations)

Arts Queensland (AQ), Department of Education, is looking to fill 2 x AO7 Manager - Backing Indigenous Arts (BIA) (Australian First Nations) positions: 1 x permanent full-time; and 1 x temporary full-time for 12 months with possible extension.

As Manager - BIA you will contribute to the delivery of the BIA initiatives and other funding programs to deliver benefits for First Nations artists, organisations, and communities.

You will also drive regional development priorities, broker productive partnerships and strengthen the network of Australian First Nations organisations, artists and arts workers across Queensland through effective management of government funding and initiatives aligned to Creative Together will also leverage the value of the arts in regional communities, lead social impact initiatives and broker sustainable partnerships with key stakeholders and clients.

Additional Information:

  • Salary: $129,090 - $138,273 p.a. (plus 12.75% super, 5 weeks annual leave, leave loading, and a regional allowance)
  • Salary and employment conditions are in line with the current State Government Entities Certified Agreement 2023 and Queensland Public Service Officers and Other Employees Award - State 2015
  • 1 x permanent flexible full-time and 1 x temporary flexible full-time positions with professional development opportunities
  • Please note a 3-month probationary period may apply to new employees of Arts Queensland in accordance with section 315 of the Industrial Relations Act 2016
  • Please note as part of pre-employment checks, suitable candidates may be required to undertake:
    • Evidence of attribute - Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identified roles as per current directive
    • A criminal history check under section 52 of the Public Sector Act (PSA) 2022
    • Complete a serious discipline history check (if required) under section 71 of the PSA
    • Disclose any interest/s that conflict, may conflict or may be perceived to conflict with the discharge of their duties in accordance with Division 2 of the PSA.
