Arts Queensland (AQ), now part of Department of Education, is looking for a permanent full-time Technical Delivery Supervisor (AO4) to come work for us.

The successful applicant will deliver high-quality technical and customer service support to hirers, event organisers and patrons attending events and activities at the Judith Wright Arts Centre (JWAC).

You will also support the day-to-day operational requirements of tenants at both the JWAC and Festival House and escort contractors to designated site areas and oversee access arrangements to help ensure the building remains secure and compliant with workplace health and safety (WHS) requirements.

Job details

The successful candidate will:
• Facilitation of high-quality technical services and support (electrical, mechanical, audio-visual and electronic) for hirers and tenants, and other internal and external clients, including through the engagement, rostering and supervision of casual staff and contractors, and liaison with external contractors.
• Contributing to the maintenance of the building's technical facilities and equipment, particularly to ensure all building and equipment resources operate effectively to meet performance, event and other activity requirements.
• Ensuring an efficient, safe, and welcoming service for hirers, tenants, and their patrons, providing guidance to Duty Supervisor and Front of House Supervisor to monitor activities and audiences to ensure compliance with statutory and venue policies and procedures.
• Planning, supervising and physically facilitating the bump in, set up, operation, and bump out of equipment associated with activities in JWAC.
• Undertaking the role of Fire Warden and providing liaison with relevant authorities, if required in emergency situations.
• Providing operational advice to Operations Manager, JWAC and Manager, AQ Venues.
• Working effectively both as a member of a team and independently and actively participating in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour.
• Actively contributing to the achievement of the vision and objectives of JWAC and Arts Queensland through undertaking other duties and activities as directed.
