Emergency Services Officer
Queensland Cultural Centre, South Brisbane
Arts Queensland (AQ), now part of Department of Education, is looking for a permanent part-time Emergency Services Officer (ESO) (OO5) to come work for us.
As ESO, you will ensure implementation of procedures and policies relating to health and safety of all staff, hirers of facilities, patrons, performers, and other visitors to the Queensland Cultural Centre (QCC) located at South Brisbane and other AQ owned properties.
Additionally, the ESOs provide first person response to fire, first aid, safety, or environmental emergency incidents within the QCC site.

Additional Information:
- Will be required to work a seven-day (7-day) rotating roster, which will include weekends and public holidays.

- Salary: as per current General Employees (Queensland Government Departments) and Other Employees Award ‒ State 2015 + 12.75% super.

- Please note a probationary period (up to 6 months) may apply to new employees of AQ in accordance with sections 120 and 315 of the Industrial Relations Act 2016
- Please note as part of pre-employment checks, suitable candidates may be required to undertake:
- A criminal history check under section 52of the Public Sector Act (PSA) 2022
- Complete a serious discipline history check (if required) under section 71 of the PSA
- Disclose of any conflicts of interest/s under Division 2 of the PSA.
