About us:

The Theodore Multipurpose Health Service (MPHS) located 229km southwest of Rockhampton, is part of the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. Theodore is situated on the Leichhardt Highway between the junction of Castle Creek and the Dawson River.

About the role:

The Student in Nursing (SIN) delivers clinical competence under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse within a rural Multipurpose Health Service, encompassing acute care, residential, aged care, and community health. Students will gain valuable experience in delivering person-centred care, adapting to resource-limited environments, and contributing to the health and wellbeing of a rural community. 

About you:

The incumbent will be required to be an Undergraduate Student of Nursing.

  • The Student in Nursing will be undertaking or has completed, on a full-time basis, the second semester of the second year of a pre-registration university program or is undertaking the fourth semester of a second year post graduate pre-registration university program in a nursing qualification approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).

What we offer:

  • An hourly rate between $41.67 - $42.22 p.h (including 25% casual loading)
