About the role
Permanent part time opportunity to provide high level Social Work clinical services as a member of a multidisciplinary team within the Caboolture and Kilcoy Hospitals Social Work department to patients/families/carers requiring social work services, particularly those with acute psychosocial trauma or multidimensional psychosocial problems, to optimise their psychosocial outcomes and to achieve maximum benefits from health care services and to support patients and families.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Deliver high level evidence based clinical services with the infrequent need for supervision, including crisis counselling, in accordance with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Code of Ethics and AASW Professional Practice Standards through assessing clinical risk and the complex psychosocial needs of patients/families/carers.
- Collaborate with consumers and wider service delivery partners to develop strong relationships and actively participate in service evaluation, education, research and quality and service improvement activities within the Social Work service and multidisciplinary teams to continually improve patient care.
- Monitor and report social work clinical work practices and outcomes within the hospital and initiate, plan and evaluate service improvement activities to enhance the delivery of social work services and quality patient care.
- Provide clinical practice supervision, education, and support to HP3 level health practitioners and students to ensure the maintenance of clinical standards.
- Deliver high level clinical and operational advice and work collaboratively and effectively with other Social Work practitioners, professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding social work service delivery and the prioritisation and development of clinical services.
