Cairns Hospital is a busy regional tertiary Hospital with a range of subspecialties including vascular, orthopaedics, plastic and reconstructive surgery, urology, and a level 5 adult Intensive Care Unit. We are seeking an energetic Vascular Surgeon who is looking to enlarge his/her vascular surgical experience.

Remuneration value up to $441 904 p.a. (L25-L27), Remuneration value up to $404 286 (L18 – L24) or Remuneration value up to $288 251 (L13), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%), professional development allowance, motor vehicle allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., plus private practice arrangements

Purpose of the role

Assist in the provision of an effective, efficient and equitable Vascular Surgical service within the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.

Your opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Staff Specialist, Staff Specialist or Fellow Vascular Surgery to facilitate the delivery of high-quality surgical services to patients of the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.

  • It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment (Health Employment Directive No. 01/16):
  • measles, mumps, rubella (MMR)
  • varicella (chicken pox)
  • pertussis (whooping cough)
  • hepatitis B
  • tuberculosis
