About us: The outer western region of our service includes extremely remote communities. Cairns Hospital is the only major referral hospital in Far North Queensland and also provides care for people from Cape York and the Torres Strait.
About your opportunity:
In this position you will:
- Lead and support Hospital and Health Service clinicians to review, embed, and sustain Forensic medical models that are evidence-based at the local level.
- Integrate direction and priorities for quality improvement into care that establishes a quality framework which supports achievement of evidenced based care outcomes for consumers/persons following sexual assault.
- Collect and analyse patient and/or service/s data and reporting in achieving key performance indicators and specialist standards.
- Perform independent forensic procedure and examinations of assault complainant and person of interest within the scope of practice and in line with best practice requirements.
- Coordination and delivery of clinical practice at an advanced level within the speciality area of Forensic Medicine.
