We are seeking an enthusiastic Rural Generalist to join our team in tropical North Queensland. Atherton Hospital is a 56-bed, Level 3 facility with a strong commitment to Rural Generalist training. We provide care to residents of Atherton but also as far west as Georgetown, Forsayth and Croydon. There is capacity within the hospital for SMOs to develop special interests such as minor surgery, paediatrics, anaesthetics and obstetrics and education and training. What we offer;
Fulltime Base salary up to $266 677 p.a. (L25 – L27) or $244 313 p.a. (L18 – L24)

Purpose of the Role
Working at the Atherton Hospital within rural health services across the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service, you will contribute as a dynamic Rural Generalist providing high-quality clinical care to hospital in-patients and patients at rural clinics. You will assist the Director of Medical Services, Atherton Hospital in the development of safe medical practice and optimising clinical skills for medical and nursing staff.
