The Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) is an independent Queensland law enforcement agency that investigates serious corrupt conduct and crime, oversight corruption in the Queensland Police Service and operate the state’s witness protection program. Our functions and powers are set out in the Crime and Corruption Act 2001.

The ideal applicant will demonstrate capability in the following requirements: 

  • Demonstrated leadership and management of a professional work group in a multi-disciplinary team environment. 
  • Proven ability to manage people and projects effectively to meet deadlines through goal setting, resource allocation, risk management and performance evaluation. 
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to effectively liaise and negotiate with both internal and external stakeholders and promote the work of the Proceeds of Crime Team. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary financial investigation methodologies and the application of these techniques in a law enforcement context, in particular, those relating to the identification and recovery of the proceeds of crime.  
  • Demonstrated knowledge of proceeds of crime legislation and industry practice impacting upon financial investigations and proceeds of crime recovery. 
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex financial data and factual issues and make clear decisions and sound judgments in time-pressured circumstances. 

Qualifications/professional registration/other requirements 

  • Certified copies of all qualifications must be produced at time of interview
  • Possession of a degree in Commerce, Business or Accounting from a recognised tertiary institute is a highly desirable;
  • Membership of CPA Australia (with a status of at least Certified Practising Accountant); or Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (and completion of the Chartered Accountant’s Program of that Institute).
