The Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) is an independent Queensland law enforcement agency that investigates serious corrupt conduct and crime, oversight corruption in the Queensland Police Service and operate the state’s witness protection program. Our functions and powers are set out in the Crime and Corruption Act 2001.

The ideal applicant will demonstrate capability in the following requirements:

  • Demonstrated skill and experience in the development and implementation of state and national information security strategies, frameworks, principles, policy, standards and procedures including the ability to research complex issues and formulate appropriate information security strategies, policies, procedures and solutions
  • Demonstrated skill and experience to lead the development of practical information security solution designs incorporating business process and technical solutions in a complex business environment
  • Demonstrated skill and experience in the development of ICT security risk assessments, incident management, security audits, intrusion prevention, vulnerability management on new and existing infrastructure, recommending mitigation strategies and designing practical business process and technical solutions
  • Demonstrated high level of oral and written communication skills including the ability to:
    • liaise, consult and negotiate with a range of internal and external clients to enable decision making.
    • establish and manage virtual teams, be a subject matter expert and member of a project team to ensure delivery;
    • develop reports, briefs and presentations that translate complex information security issues into plain English to enable decision making;
    • develop and deliver information security training/awareness programs. 

Qualifications/professional registration/other requirements 

  • Certified copies of all qualifications must be produced at time of interview
  • Possession of tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
  • An industry recognised certification in Information Security (CNA Security, CISSP, CISM or the equivalent) will be highly regarded. 
  • Qualifications acquired from an overseas educational institution will only be accepted where the qualification has been recognised to an equivalent level in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Framework
