The Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) is an independent agency combating major crime and reducing corruption for the benefit of the Queensland community.  Our functions and powers are set out in the Crime and Corruption Act 2001. 

We are looking for an individual to conduct major research and evaluation projects, and provide high level advice about research methodology and analysis.

The Principal Research Officer is responsible for:

  • Becoming an active member of the Research team and making a significant contribution to our high quality research and evaluation projects.
  • Helping steer the direction of the unit and leading, guiding and supporting more junior staff.
  • Designing and/or carrying out research and evaluation projects.
  • Providing high level methodological and analytical advice within the context of the Commission’s work.
  • Coordinating and managing, major research and evaluation projects and research officers allocated to those projects.
  • Contributing to the professional development of research officers.
  • Writing and editing reports, and guiding and assisting other staff to write reports suitable for multiple audiences, arising out of the research.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, particularly in relation to obtaining data and disseminating findings.

Qualifications/ Professional Registrations/ Other Requirements:

  • Mandatory: Tertiary qualifications relevant to the role (e.g., social science, public administration, criminology, law)
  • Preferred:      Ph.D. or research Masters relevant to the role.
