The Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) is an independent agency combating major crime and reducing corruption for the benefit of the Queensland community.  Our functions and powers are set out in the Crime and Corruption Act 2001. 

The ideal applicant will demonstrate capability in the following requirements:

  • Extensive experience conceptualising, designing and conducting public policy related research, preferably in a context relevant to the work of the Commission.
  • Extensive experience designing and conducting quantitative and qualitative data analyses of social science data, using programs such as SPSS, R, STATA and/or SAS.
  • Extensive experience managing research projects (preferably in the public sector), including preparing project plans, monitoring quality and timeliness, and supervising staff.
  • Experience in policy analysis and policy reform, preferably in a context relevant to the work of the Commission.
  • Evidence of ability to establish and maintain effective networks with internal and external stakeholders, and working collaboratively with others.
  • Excellent writing skills, including the ability to prepare a variety of research and policy outputs in a timely manner.

Qualifications/ Professional Registrations/ Other Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to the role (e.g., social science, criminology, psychology, statistics) are mandatory; a Ph.D. or research Masters is desirable.
  • A certified copy of all qualifications must be produced at the time of interview.
