We’re looking for a Nurse Unit Manager to explore a new challenge, providing short term relief (+ possibly more) and leadership to the acute care team in our Multipurpose Health Service.

About us:

The Multipurpose Health Service provides 24-hour Accident and Emergency care, inpatient services, residential aged care, and a wide range of community and public health programs, including pharmacy and dental services. Operating across two facilities—an integrated hospital with residential aged care and a community health centre—the service is expanding to include a 14-bed residential care unit and will consolidate all services into a single location. The site also features a renal satellite unit managed by CQ Rockhampton Renal Service, ensuring vital specialist care is accessible locally.

About the role:

Lead and coordinate the Acute Care Team at our Woorabinda Multipurpose Health Service (MPHS), a comprehensive facility offering 24-hour Accident and Emergency care, inpatient services, aged care, and a wide array of public health programs, all while delivering high-level acute care and supporting the Director of Nursing.

About you:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate.
  • Post graduate qualifications in acute care, health Management and Indigenous Health while not mandatory would be advantageous to the applicant.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $13,684 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
