A Clinical Nurse is responsible for coordinating specialty clinical practice, supporting evidence-based care, and collaborating with the Nurse Unit Manager. The CN will lead telecardiology services, including stress testing and pacemaker clinics, working with a tertiary centre via telehealth, and will help establish multidisciplinary cardiac rehabilitation services with an external provider.

About us:
Emerald Hospital is located 300kms west of the Queensland coastline. The population of the surrounding community is approximately 28,000 with 15,000 at Emerald. There are two small hospitals within 100kms, located at Blackwater and Springsure. Emerald Hospital is a 32-bed facility, has two operating theatres and approximately 160 staff delivering services across acute, maternity, community, and primary care.
About the role:
This position will establish and provide leadership, direct patient care and co-ordination of telecardiology services including but not limited to, stress testing, holter monitoring, and pacemaker clinic, working closely with a tertiary centre via telehealth to Brisbane.
The establishment and delivery of multidisciplinary cardiac rehabilitation services will also be an exciting component of the responsibilities of the CN in this position in collaboration with an external provider.
About you:
- The successful applicant must possess a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a current annual nursing practicing certificate is
- While not mandatory, Emergency Nursing experience, Triage and Advanced Life Support qualifications highly
- Desirable to have post-graduate qualifications in the clinical area of expertise.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $2,198 is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
