Are you passionate about Safety? Infrastructure Services Division, Infrastructure Safety, is seeking a temporary dedicated Senior Safety Advisor to work with schools in the North Coast Region.
You will provide safety advice to schools, regional and central office stakeholders across a range of infrastructure safety issues. This role
can be located in Maroochydore or the Maryborough Regional Office.

About the Opportunity:
As the Senior Safety Advisor, you will actively participate in teams and projects to undertake analysis, design, review and implementation of infrastructure safety related business activities, systems, policies, projects and programs of work. A current driver's license is mandatory as travel and overnight travel is a requirement of the role.
About You:
The Senior Safety Advisor will:
- Provide client focused safety advice to staff in schools, regional centres and other educational centres.
- Collaborate with staff across central office and regional facilities teams and Infrastructure Services Division to provide comprehensive field-based safety support service to clients.
- Participate in teams involved in the formulation of workable solutions for infrastructure safety related services issues that align to industry standards.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal and external networks to support departmental responses to safety issues and a best practice approach to implementing consistent processes.
- Provide high level advice, information and support services across a broad range of infrastructure safety related issues, with a strong focus on client centric facilities services and the provision of advice to staff in schools, regional teams and the wider community.
- Participate in project teams for the development, implementation, maintenance and review of programs, policies and procedures, to support the strategic direction of the department for a range of infrastructure and planning related issues.
It would be highly desirable for our ideal applicant to possess the following attributes:
- An infrastructure safety background or safety background and/or relevant qualifications, project skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
