This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

About the role
You will lead and oversee key HR functions aligning them with departmental and governmental priorities, and the championing of client service excellence.

You will be responsible for leading critical HR portfolios at a pivotal time. With enterprise bargaining, workforce action and student and staff safety at the forefront, this role is critical to shaping stable, safe and productive learning environments across Queensland.

Portfolios of responsibility include:

  • Strategic Workforce Policy and Industrial Relations
  • Integrity and Employee Relations
  • Health, Safety and Wellbeing
  • Payroll, HR Systems and Resources
  • Corporate HR

About the person
The role will suit experienced HR leaders or those wishing to grow and develop their HR practice in a large-scale organisation, who are excited by an opportunity to lead in an environment where their work makes a difference.

You will enjoy the challenge of tackling complex HR priorities in a public sector setting, where each day is different. In this dynamic environment with evolving priorities—your leadership will bring clarity in direction and communication.
