Expressions of Interest are invited for this Term 4 temporary opportunity as Head of Special Education Services (H01) providing leadership across the Special Education Program at Moura State School and Moura State High School.

This temporary position is from 6 October 2026 until 11 December 2026, unless otherwise determined, comprising:

0.60 FTE 30 hours - Moura State School - Special Education Program
0.40 FTE 20 hours - Moura State High School

Located in Central Queensland, Moura offers the opportunity to contribute to inclusive education across a connected local school community.

  • Moura State School is an inclusive school providing quality education to children from Moura and surrounding communities. The school works in partnership with parents and the community to provide opportunities for all students, guided by the core values of safety, learning, courtesy and responsibility.
  • Moura State High School is a small secondary school catering for students from Years 7 to 12 and has a Special Needs Unit supporting a small group of students. Our school draws students from four feeder schools — Moura State School, Banana State School, Bauhinia State School and Theodore State School. 

Your opportunity:

As Head of Special Education Services, you will:

  • lead inclusive education and special education services across Moura State School and Moura State High School.
  • support staff to deliver effective teaching, learning and student support.
  • work collaboratively with school leaders, staff, students, families and the wider community.
  • strengthen outcomes for students with diverse learning needs.
