About the Role
Senior Medical Officers are engaged to provide person-centred care to residents and visitors to the Central West in hospitals, multi-purpose health services, family general practices and primary health clinics.

This role provides anaesthetic services at the Longreach Hospital which provides General Surgery and Maternity Services for all of Central West. The Maternity Services are provided under a low risk midwifery led model of care supported by SMO GP Obstetricians with DRANZCOG advanced. The General Surgical Services are provided by the Flying Surgical Service from Roma. A range of Sub-Specialty Surgical services are provided by fly-in fly-out Surgeons and Gastroenterologists.

A truly collegial network will support you through clinical and corporate responsibilities and you will work without supervision in a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will commit to patient safety, the ongoing development of clinical knowledge and skills, and the supervision and training of junior doctors and students.

Your valuable contribution to our far-reaching healthcare will be well remunerated with a competitive package between $330,436 - $429,103 p.a., (L13-L25); permanent full time; employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%); annual leave loading (17.5%);
