What's involved –

  • Clinical, operational, and professional oversight of medical service delivery within the Longreach Hospital and outreach sites.  This includes ensuring medical services are high performing and contribute to a learning health service that actively pursues opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
  • This role is pivotal in advocating for and understanding the health care needs of the community to deliver a patient focused health care service at Longreach Hospital in line with community, departmental and CWHHS priorities

Role requirements:

  • Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia to practice as a medical practitioner.
  • Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine; and/or − Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
  • A genuine desire to work at top of scope in acute and general practice settings making a real difference to the lives of remote Queenslanders.
