What your day will look like….
You'll provide high-quality medical care across a diverse caseload, from short-stay to complex long-stay patients, ensuring seamless support across wards, the Admissions, Discharge and Transfer Unit, and the Emergency Department. Collaboration will be central to your role, as you work closely with colleagues, contribute to clinical governance, and provide outreach or telehealth support to rural hospitals within the Darling Downs region. Alongside patient care, you'll guide and mentor junior doctors and students, foster continuous improvement in clinical practices, and engage in teaching and research. Each day will bring the opportunity to make a meaningful difference—whether through leading a care team, supporting rural communities, or helping shape the next generation of medical professionals.
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value from $368,514 (L18) up to $460,349 p.a (L27) comprising salary rates between $100.78 (L18) and $127.77 p.h. (L27), motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., regional attraction allowance, professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value.
