A range of Principal positions in the Darling Downs South West (DDSW) Region may be available for relieving opportunities during 2024. Duration may vary and is dependent upon individual school circumstances. The DDSW region is situated in the South Western corner of Queensland. The region covers schools located in the Lockyer Valley approximately 70km west of Brisbane, stretching west to Eromanga 1060km west of Brisbane and the furthest town in Australia from the sea.

Our region has one Regional Director and an Executive Director, Regional Operations, one Senior Principal Capability, Education Futures Institute, and 5 Regional School Supervisors, supervising 199 schools. These schools vary in size and locality, from small rural schools with less than 10 students, to urban secondary schools catering for over 1700 students.

This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

This continuous applicant pool is open for candidates interested in employment opportunities as a Principal and meet the mandatory employment requirements as detailed in the attached role descriptions. The region will utilise this EOI pool for short term vacancies of up to 10 weeks duration. • improving the educational outcomes of students in their schools

• nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers, the community and stakeholders.
