Applications are invited for a Teacher Aide to join our team on a temporary part-time basis, at 0.79 FTE and 60 hours per fortnight, until 12 December 2025 unless otherwise determined.

The position is based in the Admin Block/Sick Bay, with other suitable duties allocated to the role. Working 5 days per week, the position is 6.45 hours per day (30 ordinary hours | 32.25 SJM hours per week), the hours of work are negotiable.

Your Role

Working in the Student Services area as the Nominated First Aid Officer your duties will include the following:

  • Manage the whole of school First Aid process, including treating all students, staff and contactors who present to our sick bay
  • Add all incidents/information, as required, as a First Aid incident into WH&S, OneSchool and ID Attend
  • Administer medications to students throughout the day
  • Keep all medications up to date with the medical folders
  • Complete all tasks associated with student medication, including mandatory documentation and updating OneSchool and ID Attend
  • Manage the First Aid Room (including, maintain stock levels in first aid cupboard, restock ice supply)
  • Manage Student Services Window; including queries from students and/or Teachers
  • Sign in students arriving late and sign-out students leaving early
  • Manage all messages for students, continuously through the day (emails, voice messages, QParents etc)
  • Complete daily activities associated with rolls, continuously throughout the day
  • Follow up on unmarked rolls and any excursion rolls not handed in or create the excursion check relief staff
  • Send SMS messages to parents of absent students

Please note this list is not exhaustive and may be negotiated in the future in consultation with the suitable candidate.

About You

The following will be considered when reviewing applications:

  • First Aid experience is preferred; but not essential;
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Strong computer skills (OneSchool and ID Attend experience preferred; but not essential);
  • Displays confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitivity to staff and students;
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work with minimum supervision to meet deadlines;
  • Is able to work collaboratively.
