The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Podiatrist - Senior to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Deliver high level podiatry clinical and consultancy services for acute, high risk and at-risk foot pathology
• Lead the development and delivery of health education and health promotion programs on foot health
• Contribute to the development of clinical practice, procedures and protocols
• Lead and manage staff by fostering and committing to quality and service improvement practices and initiatives.

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Podiatry
• AHPRA Registration
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Temporary part time (twelve months with the possibility of extension, 22.8 hrs p.f.)          
• Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour

About Us

Chronic Disease and Post Acute Programs provide a comprehensive multidisciplinary, community-based service to adult clients 18 years and over. Services include group-based education and exercise programs and individual therapy sessions. Podiatry services are primarily aimed at treatment and management of acute foot problems with High Risk Foot Services incorporated within the programs.
